Our team’s goal when creating this ad was to highlight Urban Outfitter’s free-spirited vibe and to make their customers feel comfortable in expressing themselves, while still featuring UO’s unique clothing to the consumer. This ad used the Brand Image strategy, which sells the product’s “aura” and makes the consumer buy into a brand personality rather than appealing to logic. We achieved this by choosing an image that featured various fun and flowy clothing pieces, as well as a friend group shown having a good time in nature, playing music, and being themselves — all things that align with UO’s brand personality and the target audience’s desires.
