Hi, My name is

Anett!

ABOUT ME

I’m an ambitious and hardworking Media Advertising student at Indiana University. Additionally, I’m a detail-oriented perfectionist who nerds out with organizing and making everything I touch “just right.” I’ve always loved design, digital media, and coming up with new ideas, which was made apparent when I became Publicity Executive for my high school’s theatre program, which introduced me to Photoshop. Ever since, my passion for advertising, graphic design, and branding has been ever-consuming. After I graduate in 2026, I’ll be looking for a new adventure and will relocate wherever the job takes her! My ultimate career goal is for someone to look at her work and think, “Wow, I wish I came up with that!”

Beyond the 9-to-5…

Anett’s current hobby is film photography. She bought herself a Minolta camera and brought it to Spain over Winter Break, not knowing what she was doing. Most of the photos were blurry (before she figured out shutter speed), but to her surprise, most from the end of the trip turned out beautifully! The photo above was taken in the streets of Seville.

Anett helped form a new A Cappella group on campus in October of her freshman year. Since their start, The Bloomingtones has competed at the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella, sang the National Anthem at The Little 500, have hosted multiple concerts, and won the New Student Organization Award in 2024. Anett is passionate about music and performance, so this group has given her an outlet to be a leader, have fun with friends, and sing her heart out.

Anett believes nothing is more important than your family’s unconditional love. Her parents, Allen and Janice, immigrated from Ukraine when they were in high school and raised Anett and her younger brother, Alex, in the northern Chicago suburbs. Anett is extremely grateful for the opportunities her parents worked hard for to give us the childhood they never had.

Anett calls herself a grandma at heart because she loves crafts and has tried a little bit of everything. Outside of puzzles, Anett’s favorite craft is crocheting. However, the most recent one she’s experimented with was creating fridge magnets out of polymer clay. Pictured above is a painting she made at her 20th birthday party, which was craft themed, of course.

Anett’s first love is her dog, Buddy, which her family adopted 9 years ago after countless presentations on why she needed a dog. In her free time, Anett volunteers at animal sanctuaries and shelters with the Animal Club at IU to feel closer to Buddy while away at college. In the future, Anett hopes to own a mini-farm with chickens and a goat!
