Hi, My name is

Anett!

ABOUT ME

I’m an ambitious and hardworking Media Advertising student at Indiana University. Additionally, I’m a detail-oriented perfectionist who nerds out with organizing and making everything I touch “just right.” I’ve always loved design, digital media, and coming up with new ideas, which was made apparent when I became Publicity Executive for my high school’s theatre program, which introduced me to Photoshop.

Ever since, my passion for advertising, graphic design, and branding has been ever-consuming. After I graduate in 2026, I’ll be looking for a new adventure and will relocate wherever the job takes me! My ultimate career goal is for someone to look at her work and think, “Wow, I wish I came up with that!”

Beyond the 9-to-5…

I helped form a new a cappella group on campus in October of my freshman year with my friends! Since our start, The Bloomingtones have competed at the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella two years in a row, sang the National Anthem at The Little 500, performed at various concerts and events, and won the New Student Organization Award in 2024. I’m of course passionate about music and performance, but this group has also provided me with an outlet to be a leader, have fun with friends, try new things, and sing my heart out.

My current hobby is travel film photography. I bought herself a Minolta camera last Christmas, and first tried it out when I traveled to Spain with my family. To my surprise, most of them thankfully turned out beautifully! Since then, I’ve taken a film photography course in Florence while I was abroad, and it taught me more about the technique of photography and darkroom development. The photo pictured above was taken in the streets of Seville.

I believe nothing is more important than a family’s unconditional love. Pictured here are my parents, Allen and Janice, who immigrated from Ukraine when they were in high school. In the middle is Alex, my 16-year-old brother and built-in best friend. I’m extremely grateful for the opportunities my parents worked hard for to give us a memorable and amazing childhood, and for always supporting my dreams!

I like to call myself a grandma at heart because I love crafts, and I have tried a little bit of everything, including puzzles and crocheting. However, the most recent one I’ve experimented with was creating fridge magnets out of polymer clay. Pictured above is a painting I made at my 20th birthday party last year, which was craft-themed, of course.

My first love is my dog, Buddy, whom my family adopted 9 years ago after countless presentations on why I needed a dog. In my free time, I like to volunteer at animal sanctuaries and shelters with the Animal Club at IU to feel closer to Buddy while away at school. In the future, I hope to own a mini-sanctuary with chickens and a goat!
