This was one of my first print ad designs ever and I’m still proud of it, as well as the growth I’ve shown since! The goal of the ad was to encourage freshman at IU to go to Mother Bears, a must-eat pizza place on campus. Our design was inspired by capturing the magic of Mother Bears – the tradition of signing/engraving names and messages all over their wooden board walls. They have names written all over from every year, even 50+ years ago. I designed this ad by recreating the look of their signature-covered walls and edited the headline, “Great pizza, better memories” to look like it was burned into the wood. The ad was finalized with a vintage sticker-looking logo for Mother Bears, once again emphasizing the appeal of the restaurant, where students have made their marks for decades.
